Also known as Big Beach, Makena Beach State Park is one of Maui’s largest and most undeveloped beaches. It has white sands and turquoise waters and the views of the islands of Molokini and Kahoolawe can’t be beat. Families can enjoy snorkeling, swimming, beach combing or fishing at Makena Beach. However, the waves can be rough here and the undertow sometimes strong, so beware if you have little ones in tow.
