The carousel was invented in France, and a trip to the gardens and its famed carousel is a must for any child visiting gay Paris. The largest public park, the gardens rest before Luxembourg Palace, constructed as home to Marie de Medicis in the 1600s. The park’s fenced in playground and vintage carousel of wooden, hand-painted horses has been a favorite of children for generations upon generations.
