Delve yourself and your family into some of Louisville’s richest history by spending a day at Locust Grove, a 55-acre farm established by William, George Rogers Clark’s brother-in-law, founder of Louisville, and Revolutionary War hero, and Lucy Clark Croghan in 1790. Three of our nation’s presidents have even graced these grounds — Monroe, Jackson, and Taylor — so it must be quite the site to see! Pack a picnic lunch and come celebrate our country’s Independence on July 4th, where kids can nibble on their PB&J sandwiches in between running around and enjoying the beauty that is Locust Grove — for free!
