These gardens are a beautiful place to simply wander around, but if you’re in Tulsa during one of their children’s programs, they provide an extra reason to make the trip. Thursdays during summer bring “story time in the garden” for preschoolers through second-graders: picture book readings are followed by an activity in the garden. Kids aged 6-12 can get hands-on with gardening during the May-August monthly Little Green Thumbs program. Finally, stop by the Kid’s Corner of the visitors’ barn to see a themed display and do activities. Young and old nature-lovers will enjoy seeing the vegetable gardens, koi ponds, wildflowers, and waterfalls that the Linnaeus Teaching Gardens have to offer.
