The Land of Make Believe offers carnival-style rides for families with youngsters, plus a water park with a lazy river, slides and a wading pool. Bring your own lunch with you — this is one of few amusement parks to allow visitors to do so; a picnic pavilion is located inside the park.
Admission is $25 for adults; $27 for children ages 2 to 18; $23 for seniors (62 and up); and free for children under age 2. Bring cash — most major credit cards are not accepted (aside from Discover); there’s an ATM onsite if needed. Parking is plentiful and free.
The Land of Make Believe is located in Hope, N.J., close to the Poconos in Pennsylvania.
