This museum and planetarium offers visitors a variety of exhibits from dinosaurs to paintings and a “Crawl Space” filled with bugs! There is a virtual aquarium, where kids are encouraged to tap on the glass, and a geology and meteorite exhibit. If you like to look high in the sky at the stars and planets, be sure to check out the planetarium program. The scheduled viewings are often played at 4 p.m. each day, along with a few other select times, so be sure to check the schedule. The Children’s Museum of Acadiana is located next door to the Science Museum and is ideal for younger kids who may not be interested in the Science Museum.
