Sea turtles have made this beach reserve their place to nest. A variety of sea turtle species, including the Olive Ridley, nest their eggs here, mostly between July and December.
Families can visit during nesting season and watch the natural phenomenon take place before their eyes. If you visit in the evening, you may be able to assist in releasing some of the newly hatched sea turtles into the water!
This beach, located just south of San Juan de Sur, features other wildlife sightings too, such as birds, marine life and even cattle.
