Make sure the kids are awake for this 30-mile drive at 7,000 feet — it’s one of the most beautiful within Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. The byway leads to hiking trails, many of them relatively easy for little ones. Popular points to stop at include Zumwalt Meadow and Roaring River Falls. Drive the speed limit, as roads are particularly windy with some hairpin turns along the way.
