Key West has a rich history in shipwrecking, and there’s no better place to learn about it — and even experience it — than the Key West Shipwreck Museum. Here, you’ll be able to hold some of the artifacts recovered from ships and walk up to the building’s look-out tower. You’ll also be able to hear true tales told by storytellers appropriately dressed in period-correct garb.
Children ages 3 and under are free of charge. Regular admission is inexpensive (around $15 for adults and $9 for older children), but you can save a buck or two if you buy your tickets online.
