This pleasant little museum in Ketchum is worth a few hours to better understand the Native American and mining history of the region, as well as why world class skiing is better here than many other famed resorts. But for your older children, make sure they visit the Ernest Hemingway exhibit and watch the film about the author’s life in Idaho. It could earn them brownie points in some American Literature class down the road. Open afternoons only Monday through Saturday, and admission is free.
