Budget at least one full day for a visit to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, a must-see for any family.
At the sprawling tribute to the nation’s space program, you can meet an astronaut, experience a simulated launch and watch rockets blast off while enjoying special family-friendly events that coincide with scheduled missions.
Especially fun for families is the Astronaut Training Experience. The interactive program allows children ages 10 and up to use spaceflight training simulators and experience a full-scale space shuttle mission simulation. It also includes a certificate of completion, signed astronaut lithograph, and best of all, the chance to meet an astronaut.
Hours
