Many don’t expect to find a world-class art museum in Omaha, Nebraska. But, that’s exactly what you’ll find at the Joslyn Art Museum! Beautiful works of art are housed in this stunning art deco building and you can see it for FREE! That’s right, general admission to the Joslyn is free for all ages (though there is an additional charge for some of the special exhibits). An art museum might not seem like a great place for family travel. But, the Joslyn is listed among the top 10 art museums for kids in the country according to Parents magazine. There are special programs designed specifically for kids and teens. Helping to make art more accessible for families, family gallery guides to help work through collections and special family stroller tours are offered each month as well. Additionally, a new interactive creativity center is slated to open in 2014.

With free admission and activities for kids of all ages, the Joslyn Art Museum is a great choice. Note that the museum is closed on Mondays and major holidays.
