A family trip to Baltimore simply isn’t complete without a stop at the city’s Inner Harbor. Dating back to the early 17th century, it is one of America’s oldest seaports. This means it is absolutely chock-full of important national history. Check out some of the historic ships in the port, take a guided tour of the city or visit some of the countless other exhibits, all located within a few city blocks of one another.

With so much to do in such a small area, your family won’t know where to begin. Perhaps a trip to the American Visionary Art Museum is in order? Or maybe it’s time to spend a day at the Oriole Park at Camden Yards? Lewis Museum of Maryland African American History & Culture. At the very least, be sure to check out the amazing National Aquarium, Baltimore or the Maryland Science Center, both also located in the Inner Harbor.
