The Idaho State Capitol Building is located in downtown Boise, Idaho, and holds a lot of history for families to explore. The building’s dome is 208 feet high and dates back to the early 1900’s. Families can sign up for guided tours of the building and grounds, and can visit the gift shop for souvenirs. Tours must have at least five people in the group. Tours are offered Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and last about 75 minutes. Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance. Self-guided tours are also available and families can download booklets to lead them through the capitol at their own convenience. The gift shop is open Tuesday through Saturday.
