Vero Beach’s central island park is its most family-friendly beach access with a huge playground and nearby ice cream and other shops and eateries. A short boardwalk runs atop the dunes overlooking the beach, where lifeguards are typically on duty and older kids will enjoy body boarding and surfing the rolling waves. Once a month, the park hosts a free Saturday night concert starting at sunset.
