Used during World War II and again in the 1956 revolution, this bunker hospital is located underneath Castle Hill. Exhibits include life-sized wax replicas of doctors and patients, original uniforms (including gas masks), tools, and furniture, and more. You’ll learn a lot about Hungarian history and how this hospital was built and used.

Small children are welcome to visit, but the museum warns that some scenes may not be suitable for sensitive young ones. The tour takes about an hour, and covers both the historical war hospital and the cold war bunker.
