This is not for the faint of heart or those scared of heights, but the views are stunning. There is a reason this famed area is rated #1 on TripAdvisor for things to do around Page, Arizona. The hike itself is a pretty easy walk up & down a sandy, desert hill from the parking lot to the overlook (1.5 miles round trip). There is little to no shade, no facilities, and only two benches along the trail, so plan accordingly and pack lots of water.
Once you reach the scenic overlook, you are 1,000 feet above the Colorado River. But there are NO guard rails. If you are coming with children, you MUST use an abundance of caution as the sandstone is slippery and the cliff faces are sheer drop-offs to the river below. The views of the bend are breathtaking though- definitely one of the most famous views from the entire Grand Canyon/Glen Canyon areas.
