Although many think Hyde Park is the name of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s home, Hyde Park is the town in which his home, Springwood, as well as Eleanor’s home, Val-Kill, are located. A visit to Springwood includes tours of the home, the rose gardens and grounds, and the Roosevelt’s gravesites. This national historic site is open seven days a week, year-round, although guided tours are required to see the home, and tours vary on the season. Admission starts from $10 for adults; children 15 and under are free to enter.
