The cobblestone streets of historic Old San Juan are comprised of rolling hills lined with charming, brightly hued buildings–some homes, some restaurants and cafes, some shops and others that are seemingly abandoned. Many of the buildings have been or are being carefully restored, while others remain untouched. Throughout the streets of this compelling area of San Juan, there are any number of sights to visit including several museums, lots of monuments, both high-end and kitschy tourist boutiques, and plenty of excellent restaurants and bars.
Outside of the main commercial streets, you’ll find surprises around every corner, from secret gardens to stunning murals. Don’t miss the splash pad between Totem Telurico and El Morro.
