This state park is nearly 1,000 acres in size with 2 miles of shorefront, making it Connecticut’s longest public beach. Meigs Point Nature Center has fresh and saltwater aquariums, a touch tank, and live amphibians and reptiles. Walking trails and bike paths are available, as well as picnic areas. The park is open daily from 8 a.m. to sunset.
