To see and learn about the various marine life living offshore in and around Fort Walton Beach, head to the Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park. Here, visitors can see a number of shows, exhibits, training demonstrations and more featuring such animals as dolphins, sea lions, stingrays, alligators, reptiles, turtles and even penguins. For additional fees, guests can participate in a number of animal encounters with these same animals.
Please note the minimum age requirement for many of these encounters is 5 years old, with several others starting at age 8. Children age 3 and older can sign up for the kids’ reptile safari, while kids age 4 and older can participate in the “Discover Stingrays” encounter. Full details of each encounter (minimum age, price, duration of encounter, description) are available on the Gulfarium’s website. Because animal encounter space is limited, it is highly recommended that visitors review these encounters and make their reservations online as soon as possible.
