The largest waterpark along the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Gulf Islands Waterpark offers a selection of waterslides, a wave pool, a lazy river and several kid-friendly areas so everywhere can join in the water fun from May through September.
There are five different waterslides, all of which require riders to be a minimum of 42 inches tall. In Little Pelican’s Bay, kids will enjoy a variety of water features on this splash pad surrounded by a shallow, 200-square-foot wadding area. Features include water cannons, giant squirt guns, two waterslides and a dumping bucket.
Ship Wreck Island welcomes children 2 and older to experience a selection of waterslides suited just for them, while Spray St. Louis is another splash area geared to toddlers and babies. In Padscagoula, toddlers through tweens can test their skills of crossing a variety of pads across the pool.
Lifejackets, water tubes and parking are free. Swim rings, arm floaties and fun noodles are not permitted. Outside food, beverages and coolers also are not permitted. Lockers and cabanas are available for rent.
