Families looking to spend some time outside and take in some of South Florida’s most beautiful nature should definitely check out Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands. It features a 1.5-mile boardwalk that wraps around marshy waters filled with all kinds of wildlife, including alligators, turtles, rabbits, osprey, and falcons. Don’t worry about bringing your little ones here — we saw plenty of toddlers waddling their way around!
It is open from sunrise to sunset, and offers bathrooms and a small visitor’s center. Parking is ample and admission is free.
