For those days when the mountain isn’t calling, the Grand Summit Hotel at the base of the mountain has a heated lap pool with a unique swim-in/swim-out portal in the hotel, so guests can stay warm in the 94-degree water even while they watch bundled-up skiers pass on the lift overhead. The pool, of course, is also popular during the warmer months when Sunday River becomes a full four-season resort, with activities including tennis, golf, mountain biking and geocaching.
