Grand Ole Opry

2802 Opryland Drive, Nashville, 37214, TN

Here’s a radio show that you can watch. Started in 1925 as a barn-dance style radio program, the Grand Ole Opry (now the longest running radio show in the world) is credited for making country music famous. Up-and-coming stars as well as country music legends alike are showcased at Friday- and Saturday-night performances throughout the year (as well as on Tuesday nights from March through mid-December). Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Faith Hill, Lady Antebellum, and even Elvis Costello are just a few of the acts who have graced the stage here. From February through October, performances are held at the Grand Ole Opry House near the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Resort. From November through January, the fun moves downtown to the famous Ryman Auditorium (home of the Opry from 1943 to 1974 and open for self-guided tours during the day).
