Just outside of Ballard is one of our favorite spots in Seattle: Golden Gardens Park. Located on Puget Sound and featuring views of Olympic National Park in the distance, Golden Gardens Park features a lovely beach, playground, concessions and restrooms. There’s also plenty of parking, and you’ll find hiking trails nearby, too.
The beach also offers public fire pits — bring all of the makings for hot dogs, burgers and most importantly — S’mores!
