It’s fast, it’s thrilling, it’s adrenaline-pumping … and no, it’s not the mass of black-diamond slopes at Peak 10. It’s the Gold Runner Coaster, a new, elevated roller coaster that races down the slopes of Peak Eight. Kids ages 3 to 6 may ride in the coaster with an adult, and anyone ages 8 and older (or at least 54 inches tall) may ride alone. The coaster is open from noon to 4 p.m. year-round. Although the coaster goes quite fast, riders can control their speed with levers and slow down to enjoy the pretty views of alpine forest and pristine snow.
