Here’s a kid-friendly way to get easy access to Panama’s jungle. Similar to a ski lift, this ride takes you 267 feet up the side of a forest, giving you aerial views of the Chagres River and Embera Indian village. A naturalist guide travels with each gondola of four or five passengers, pointing out various plants and wildlife. When you make it up the ten stories to the top of the observation tower, you’ll be rewarded with a bird’s eye view of Soberania National Park and the Panama Canal. Of course, small children won’t want to climb up ten stories, nor would parents feel very relaxed with a small child on the open-air gondola. The tram is best suited for kids at least 7 years old.
