The Fort Worth Zoo, the oldest zoo in Texas, houses more than 7,000 native and exotic animals. Some of the permanent exhibits include Flamingo Bay, Texas Wild petting zoo, Parrot Paradise, Great Barrier Reef and of course, penguins.
In the summer months, families will also love Safari Splash Water Park, which features 14,000 square-feet of water play and four slides. A rock climbing wall, outdoor theater, train ride, carousel and a laser target shooting gallery are also featured inside the zoo.

$14 adults; $10 children 3 to 12; $10 adults over 65; free for children under 2
