This short loop hike takes visitors past major excavation sites, including the Far View House, Far View Tower, Pipe Shrine House and Coyote Village. Far View was once home to hundreds of people who were farming the mesa. The house (1100 to 1300 AD) is an open pueblo and not like the cliff dwellings, instead a two-story home. The tower is one of 60 towers found in Mesa Verde, most often used to store items from the farm.
