Board one of the two tour boats and sail along the Erie Canal with Erie Canal Cruises. Lil’ Diamond II and Lil’ Diamond III are the two vessels that take families down the water through a 100-year-old lock, which either raises or descends 50 feet as it connects with the rest of the Erie Canal. Tours are about two hours long and are narrated, educating visitors about the history of the canal.

Cruises run daily from mid-May through mid-October, and specialty cruises are offered on select days. Rates start from $19 for adults and children ages 11 and older, and $12 for kids ages 4 to 10; toddlers and infants ages 3 and under are free.
