At just 7 acres, this is certainly not as big as many zoos in North America, but it is accredited by the American Zoological Association, so you can be sure the animals are well-cared for. You’ll see Bengal tigers, giraffes and the world’s largest monkeys (the Mandrill), as well as dozens of the many birds that Trinidad is known for, such as toucans, macaws and parrots. It’s a pleasant day, especially for those in a stroller. It’s located adjacent to the Botanic Gardens.
