Just a walking distance away from the Lost Colony National Park exhibit are the Elizabethan Gardens, which provide a quiet getaway through manicured grounds, flower beds, fragrance walks, and sunken gardens. The 10-acre, 16th Century-designed Gardens offer different setting by season, and are a nice retreat for families with young kids who want the freedom to run. The gardens are open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
