This may be an art-focused museum, but it offers a mother lode of Native American and American West history, along with plenty of hands-on fun for families. Kids are welcome to put on costumes from the 1800s, climb aboard a real stagecoach and try building a sod wall for a house for a dose of the pioneer life. They can also snuggle into a bearskin in a cozy wigwam and admired intricate bead work. It’s a great place to look for stories
