Operating since 1831, the Dublin Zoo still features original zoo buildings and areas that have been in operation since its opening. Tigers, giraffes, elephants, red pandas, penguins, hippos are on view, as well as more eclectic animals like African hunting dogs, Arctic fox, lemur and snowy owls. The zoo is open daily, except on Christmas and St. Stephens Day, and children under 3 are free.
