To originally get to this beach, a doctor and many of his friends used to enter through a cave in the early 1900s. The cave was destroyed by a hurricane, but the beach still remains, with clear blue water and soft yellow sand. Claiming the waters had restorative powers, the beach became popular with foreigners. Today, the manicured beach has chairs and umbrellas available for rent, with a beach bar and grill serving up food.
