The Carriage House has natural history collections on display for families to check out, too. The property is free and open to the public year-round. Hours vary according to to season: Tuesday through Sunday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the winter, and until 8 p.m. in the summer. The Carriage House is closed in January and February, and open March to December on weekends from noon to 4 p.m. The Mansion is open Tuesday through Friday in the summer from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., except on days when summer camp is held; closed in the winter unless visitors make appointments in advance.
