Something is always happening at the world headquarters of Hallmark Cards. This 85-acre complex includes shopping, restaurants, train exhibits, a skating rink, fountains for playing in, a museum on the history of Hallmark, and so much more. Two great things for families with young children: Kaleidoscope is a free creative center staffed by Hallmark volunteers. Kids can color and paint and glue and design until their heart’s content. Also, the Coterie Children’s Theatre is located on the first level. Dining options include the Crayola Café, where dishes are named for the colors in the box of 64 crayons that tables are presented with for coloring, and Fritz’ Railroad Restaurant, where are delivered to the tables by overhead electric trains.
