Airbase Arizona is open for visitors to see authentically restored World War II fighter planes, including “Sentimental Journey,” a B-17 that served in the Pacific in 1944. Located at Mesa’s Falcon Field, the museum also showcases World War I through Vietnam artifacts, including uniforms, medals, photographs and other memorabilia. The museum is open daily, October through May, and Wednesdays through Sundays during June through September. (Closed on major holidays.)
