Visitors need to arrive 45 minutes early for seasonal boat tours so they can hike down the Cleetwood Cove Trail and board at the water’s edge. Two tours a day have drop-offs at Wizard Island with hiking trails, picnic spots and swimming. Most narrated boat tours last two hours and hold about 37 passengers. Make reservations far in advance or be prepared to quickly grab tickets that go on sale at Crater Lake Lodge or Annie Creek Gift Shop kiosks 24 hours before tour departures. The tour can get windy and bumpy and is not recommended for infants and toddlers.
