A national park in any country should always be on your family’s list for exploration, and this massive spread on the northeast end of Curacao is no exception. It’s a combination of three former plantations and a preserve that highlights the plants and wildlife of the island. A focal point is Mt. Christoffel, which, at 1239 feet, is the high point on the island. Whatever the age of your kids, there’s something to do. Drive or hike through the park, ride a horse or mountain bike, tour a history museum, or just play on the beach. Free ranger-led tours are offered at 4 p.m. daily.
