Many tourists flock to Christ Church College to see the dining hall that inspired the one seen in the “Harry Potter films.” However, the beautiful buildings and grounds also served as an even bigger inspiration for Lewis Carroll, who penned “Alice in the Wonderland” there (in fact, Alice was a real girl — her father was the school’s deanery). Be sure to find the White Rabbit’s Door and Cheshire Cat’s Tree. Look carefully at some of the stained glass windows, too — they pay homage to the beloved children’s story.
