The Children’s Museum of the East End is a must-visit with children of any age. Kids can climb on soft blocks and slides, dress like a pirate or a firefighter, go “fishing” with magnets, learn about farm animals and vegetables, play with puppets, decorate a large Mr. Potato Head and more. Everything is hands-on and kids are encouraged to play, run and touch everything — parents will probably have a lot of fun, too! Outside, a rainbow path takes visitors to a butterfly garden, amphitheater, picnic tables and mini-golf course, which has its own set of rules. Teens and ‘tweens will get the most out of the mini-golf course because it is math- and science-focused. Each of the nine holes has a different question that can be answered by playing. The museum also hosts annual events, such as a Halloween Bash in October.

The Children’s Museum of the East End is open Wednesday through Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is closed on Tuesdays. Admission is free for members and $10 for all visitors 1 year and older. Mini-golf is not included in admission to the museum and is $5 per person.
