Less than a half hour’s drive from Waikiki, this luau in beautiful Makapu’u Meadows is not only a great cultural experience, it is a blast. The fun begins immediately after your arrival, with Hawaiian craft-making, hula lessons, fire-making, free tattoes, and more. The entertainment star and host of the evening, Chief Sielu, a.k.a. “The Coconut Man,” is very funny and warm, and the dancers are amazing. Traditional Hawaiian luau food is served.
