You’ll leave from Big Pines Lodge Restaurant to embark on a fun pontoon boat tour of Caddo Lake with local personality Captain Ron Gibbs, a former merchant marine who has worked on ships all over the world. The tours last roughly an hour, with room for 16 people the 28-foot-long boat. The highlight comes as you cruise into Carter’s Lake, one of the prettiest parts of the swamp. Spot for birds and gators all along the way.
