This 52-acre zoo is well maintained and easy to navigate, with plenty of stopover areas for picnics, including play areas where younger children can run and explore.
A clear tube slide where you see the otters swimming around you as you slide down and Grammy Nell’s tree-shaded play area are two of the most beloved attractions here, in addition to African lions, elephants and giraffes.

Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Things to Know/Bring
Admission is $10 for adults; $9 for senior citizens; $7 for children 4 to 12 years old; free for children 3 and under. The zoo participates in the AZA reciprocal program you have a zoo membership from another participating zoo or aquarium.
Dining
There are two onsite restaurants, the Plaza Cafe and the Treetops Cafe (the latter is only open seasonally and closed in winter) that serve basic fast food options.
