Camelback Mountain Resort, located in Tannersville, Pa., is the perfect place for active families to vacation and get some fresh air for a few days. Programs such as CamelCare Adventurers are offered to kids ages 3 to 5 looking to learn how to whip down the mountain at lightning speeds, all the while maintaining a solid amount of control. It is $110 during the week and $125 during the weekend per child, and includes a lift ticket, ski/snowboard equipment, and instruction.
Those kiddies that aren’t quite ready to delve into the sport of skiing or snowboarding can hit up Camelback’s Snowtubing Park, which features 42 lanes of fast fun.
After all this, families will be pleased to know they can unwind over a delicious meal without even leaving the mountain. There are nine restaurants onsite, so there is sure to be something to conquer everyone’s cravings, including grab-and-go items at CBK Lodge for those families that just want to keep go, go, going!
As of February 2015, the new 453-suite Camelback Lodge and Indoor Waterpark will opens its doors to the public at the base of the mountain. It will feature eight stories of mountain-modern style architecture and a 125,000 square-foot highly-themed, indoor adventure waterpark, making it the largest in the Northeastern U.S. It will also include various dining options, a luxury spa, and conference space. This latest addition will make Camelback Mountain Resort the most interactive in the country.
