Visit the State Capitol building for a self-guided historic tour. Pick up a map and visit rooms with recreations of their time periods, from the Attorney General’s Office in 1906 to the State Treasurer Office in 1933 to the Secretary of State’s Office in 1902. The East Annex, completed in 1952, houses the current California legislative offices, including the governor’s office on the first floor. A kids’ tour guide is also available.
