While Bristol Mountain is a traditional ski mountain, it is also a year-round resort destination. Located just 45 minutes outside of downtown Rochester, this uber family-friendly resort mountain offers skiing, snowboarding, night skiing, and tons of lessons and ski schools for all ages and adults. There are more than 38 slopes and trails (the longest run is 2 miles) and they offer a wide range of options for all skill levels.

Bristol Mountain is the ideal place to learn how to ski or snowboard. The slopes are not too intimidating and the instructors are excellent and patient. But if you are more experienced, you definitely won’t feel held back on these slopes either. Olympians from around the world train here and college athletes race here too, so truly beginners and experts can enjoy a day on the slopes at Bristol.

In the warmer months, Bristol features an aerial adventure park, water park and wake boarding. There are seven ziplines, hanging bridges, ropes courses high in the trees and even a little kids aerial course for children ages 4 to 7.

At the Roseland Water Park, there are slides, splash pads, a wave pool, raft slides, a lazy river and much more. Or visit the Roseland Wake Park, a wakeboarding park that uses a cable wakeboarding system (no boat) to pull up to nine wake boards in a continuous loop around the lake. Lessons and obstacle courses are also available. The Roseland facilities are situated about 20 minutes away from the Bristol ski mountain but are owned and managed as part of Bristol Mountain.

Dining
There are several dining options available. Families can purchase meals and snacks or bring their own, and there is also a bar. There is even a small slopeside café that serves outstanding Belgian waffles and hot chocolate, the perfect snack needed while you’re taking a ski break in the middle of the mountain.

Free parking in a large lot is available.
