Situated about 30 minutes outside the center of Galway, but still in County Galway is Brigit’s Garden and Cafe. These enchanting, family-friendly gardens encourage kids to get back in touch with nature. Pretty flowers and trees, green grass and trails are the base of Brigit’s 11-acre gardens. But this attraction offers so much more to get kids involved with nature.
The gardens bring Celtic heritage and mythology to life. Kids can go on a treasure hunt through the gardens and make music through nature, spend some time with tiny fairies in the fairy village, go inside a thatched roundhouse or sit on a bog throne, all the while searching for herbs that smell like lemons or bugs with long legs. Families could easily spend a few hours here.
